Note
There are faint traces of an inscription, now illegible, along the right-hand side above the sitter's shoulder.
The miniature is in a gold frame, on the back of which are locks of hair decorated with gold thread and a pearl ornament. The small clump of hair to the left is a light brown, in contrast to the darker brown hair composing the other clusters. One possibility is that the light hair is Rosalie's and the dark hair is Charlotte's. Neither shade of hair matches that of the bracelet in FPm24. The case is mounted as a brooch.
