Title page within a pictorial woodcut border, with Colin's device, the figure of Time with a scythe in the lower right hand corner. Goldschmidt (cat. 35, no. 174) suggests that the border is the work of Oronce Finé. The border was executed specially for this volume.
In this state of the title page there is no space between R and E in the privilege statement (as in Mortimer, 471), and lacks the period after Parisiis in the imprint. The word "Dorycnion" on line four second column of A6 revised from "Dorychnion" in earlier states.
The dedication is dated: Parisiis, quarto Idus Iunii, Anno millesimo quingentesimo trigesimosexto.
Signatures: [superscript pi]A⁶, a-y⁸ z¹⁰ 2a-3i⁸ A-G⁸ H⁶.
Criblé initials of various sizes.
Pages 507, 876, and 877 wrongly numbered 509, 878, and 879 respectively.
