Scope and content
Reconfirming a warrant of 23 April 1601 granting £36, 12 shillings to John Canon, to defray his expenses for "the Armes and Apparell" of two companies of soldiers levied in Pembrokeshire "for the service of Ireland." At the lower left, the Lord Treasurer (then Lord Buckhurst, later Earl of Dorset) has written and initialed a note: "Mr. Skinner make an order TB."
