Young King Henry returns from wars in France with Margaret, his new Queen. The domineering Queen and the Earl of Suffolk take advantage of the King's weakness to further their own political ends, much to the horror of the Duke of Gloucester. As the lords scheme and plot against one another, Jack Cade stirs up dreams of rebellion amongst the peasants, and, as the Wars of the Roses begin, King Henry is forced to take up arms to defend his crown. Since the early days of the new republic, the National Theatre of Albania has opened its repertoire to foriegn plays, and experimented with fobidden authors. In the past 10 years they have performed plays from Albania and elsewhere to wide acclaim. Director Adonis Filipi will direct Shakespeare's great meditation on riot and rebellion. .
