Scope and content
Regarding Privy Seal loans from the county of Norfolk. Walsingham orders Bacon to give notice to all delinquent recipients of the privy seal in Norfolk either to make their payments to Bacon immediately (which Bacon should then return to the Exchequer as soon as possible), or to certify to the Privy Council their inability to pay the required sum.

In line 2 of this letter, Walsingham refers to a letter from the Privy Council to Bacon of the same date and same subject. A copy of this letter is now part of the Folger's Bacon-Townshend collection (Folger MS L.d.487).
