This plate shows the Globe Theatre Bankside and historic roles played by the actors listed below in the plays of William Shakespeare, poet and playwright born 1564 Stratford-upon-Avon England died 1616. Mr Shuter as Falstaff, Mr Garrick as Macbeth, Mr Smith as Richard III, Miss P Hopkins as Lavinia, Mrs Lessingham as Ophelia, Mr Garrick as King Lear, Mr Grist as Othello, Mr Kean as Hamlet, Mrs Hopkins as Volumnia, Mrs Balkley as Mrs Ford. In association with the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust.
